Company Bio
K Bailey Obazee (she/they) is Founder and Director of PRIM, a platform for storytelling which produces OKHA, a monthly queer + Black book club and a variety of events and pop-ups. Alongside this, K is a curator, DJ and consultant ensuring visibility through storytelling by people of Black ancestry. To date K has collaborated with brands and institutions such as Aesop, Burberry, British Vogue, ICA, and NOW Gallery curating events, workshops, libraries and more. She has been featured in ES Magazine, The New York Times and DAZED, as well as had guest appearances on panels with Resident Advisor, Apollo Theatre (U.S), and Youtube. In 2022, PRIM was named a New Futures Winner by Bookshop.org and The Booksellers Association. K also works as a Project Coordinator at Serpentine Galleries.
Job Description
A Day With PRIM at a Festival – 25th August 2023 – (PRIM has been invited to host a pop-up bookstore at a festival in London. Shadowing will include spending the day with K preparing stock at the PRIM office, setting up the pop-up, selling books and enjoying music!
